"They forgot that I dream and my mama a queen, they forgot that I'm strong, they forgot I'm a king" 👑 Jeezy KINGDOM.
29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Proverbs
I believe one of the most dangerous things is for someone to have a vision or plan for your life, and you to not have one for yourself!
I remember working with a guy that said he didn't want to be part of another man's movie, he wanted to be the star in his own.. I thought that was profound at the time, and although the brother never went on to become what he thought himself to be because of an addiction, he raised my antenna with that statement.
Over the years I've learned that it's not hard to get caught up into someone else's vision, even love ones. I honestly believe that's one of the easiest ways to be detracted from your own goals. Also, a very important reason for exercising caution when choosing a mate. A dominant mate will have you living your life according to their purpose, especially if you are not concrete in your own.
Teamwork makes the dream work as we all probably have heard, and I understand and agree, but my definition of team, or partnering is for similar agendas to come together for a common cause.
Do we all remember Coming to America, even Ms. Whatever You Like, only appealed to the king's sidekick, not the King!
We can all begin constructing our lives as we wish for it to be, and although everyone won't be on board with our decision, we have to learn to be ok with that. If someone feels the need to stifle your efforts to achieve your goals, they're basically cutting the grass to reveal the snakes in the backyard so to speak..
I'm not saying that everyone who has a plan or vision with us in mind is maliciously trying to hold us back, but it is important to at least have one of our own. We then can compare to see if the two are in alignment. If we find that they aren't, it's our duty to protect what was specifically given to us.
